Lip Fillers

Lip fillers are injectable treatments designed to enhance the lips by adding volume, improving shape, and defining the lip border. Using hyaluronic acid (HA)–a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts and retains moisture–lip fillers create fuller, more youthful-looking lips whilst maintaining a natural appearance. They can also help smooth fine lines around the mouth and correct asymmetry.

One of the great benefits of lip fillers is that results are visible immediately after treatment. However, it's important to note that initial swelling is normal, and it typically takes one to two weeks for the filler to settle completely and for you to see the final results.

The longevity of lip fillers varies depending on the specific product used, the amount injected, and individual factors such as metabolism and lifestyle. Generally, lip fillers last between 6 and 12 months, with some advanced formulations lasting up to 18 months. The lips are a highly mobile area, which can affect how long results last.

As with any injectable treatment, you may experience temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, and redness at the injection site, but these effects typically subside within a few days to a week.
